BJP drafted fantasy story, named it liquor scam: Manish Sisodia

Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MLA Manish Sisodia on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the BJP, accusing the party of drafting a “fantasy story” in the name of the liquor policy scam to put Arvind Kejriwal in prison before the Assembly polls.
In his address to the AAP workers after coming out of jail, Sisodia further added that the Supreme Court put a “full stop” on BJP’s “fantasy story” by granting bail to Kejriwal.
“The BJP drafted a fantasy story named the ‘liquor scam’. The Supreme Court gave bail to Arvind Kejriwal and ended that story… It is a happy ending for us and a sad ending for the BJP,” Sisodia said.

“They thought they would keep Arvind Kejriwal jailed till the Delhi elections, but their stories were proven to be wrong in the court, and today Arvind Kejriwal and I are out of jail …,” the Patparganj MLA added.

On September 13, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was granted bail by a two-judge bench of the Supreme Court in connection with the alleged liquor exam policy case.
After Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced his resignation from the Chief Minister’s post, Manish Sisodia also announced that he would not re-join the government as Deputy Chief Minister and would go among the people to seek their support.
In a detailed post on X, Sisodia said, “… I have also decided that I will go to public court along with Arvind Kejriwal and ask whether the public considers me honest or not. Elections are to be held in three-four months. If the public approves my honesty, only then will I sit on the chair of Deputy Chief Minister-Education Minister and work for education.”

In February this year, Sisodia resigned from his portfolios after being arrested by the ED in the alleged liquor policy scam.
